FAQ

Can you coach long distance?

Yes, coaching may be done in person, by phone or on Skype. If you live locally I prefer to meet you in person at least once, either at my office in West Newbury, MA or your home or work place.

Who needs a relationship coach?

Who does not need a coach? A coach’s job is not to fix or repair you; nothing is broken! However, the flow of our thoughts gradually sculpts our brains, creating patterns or “grooves” that inform our behaviors and responses to triggers. The older or deeper the grooves; the more elaborate “stories” we create in our minds, thus inhibiting our most authentic selves. Some “stories” empower us, but others keep us stuck and prevent us from having healthy relationships at home or work. When people co-mingle their “stories”, things don’t always go smoothly!

You can choose to accept that this is just how things go or you can hire a relationship coach to guide you in untangling the stories and creating newer, healthier patterns that lead to better communication and performance, more productivity, a higher level of contentment and ease in life and work.

If you are entering a new personal or work related relationship and would like to co-create it mindfully and with clear intentions, I can help design the ideal way of being together before any difficulties arise.

What is the Forward Bound Consulting, LLC process like?

I offer a complimentary 30 min. call to determine if we would be a good fit. My deep intuition and focus allow me to zero in quickly on what is really going on. I offer my clients a compassionate and listening ear as well as deep honesty and directness.

When appropriate, I will infuse life coaching with tools from my training with the Energy Healing Institute of Boston and my decade- plus experience as a Registered Yoga Teacher and YogaKids™ Facilitator.

My goal is not to have life- long clients, but rather to help them get un-stuck as soon as possible from whatever is holding them back from attaining their highest potential in relationships and my commitment to well- being will help them get there.

I assist clients in deepening their learning, improving their performance and enhancing their quality of life.

For personal clients, I generally ask for a commitment to 3 months/6 biweekly sessions which include an email follow up with “homework” including key takeaways from the session, bullet points, tools, skills and other pertinent information. Then, together we evaluate if more coaching is necessary or if client would rather call reach out as needed when new issues arise or a “tune up” would be helpful.

Why choose a life coach specifically trained in relationships and systems?

I am certified in ORSC™ (Organization and Relationship Systems Coaching). ORSC™ is based on Systems Theory, Process Work, Family Systems Therapy, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Quantum Physics, Co-Active Coaching™, and Taoism. At its core is the study of Relationship Systems Intelligence™.

Beyond an individual’s emotional intelligence and social intelligence with others, there is intelligence within a system of people. Rare is the individual who does not carry their personal baggage to work to some degree and this impacts the energy of the group in any workplace. Likewise, most of us bring the stress of work, school or external relationships home with us to “share” with our loved ones.

In helping to reveal a system’s intelligence and focusing on the group dynamic and energy, I can guide you in creating sustainable and resilient families (immediate and extended), couples and groups of co-workers.

Can you coach just one person?

I often have people say, “I’d hire you if I was in a relationship…”. The most significant, exciting and challenging relationship of all is the one you have with yourself. My style of coaching focuses on the whole client, whether one, two or more people are being coached.

By nature of being human, we are complex and each of us are each a system unto ourselves, with various relationships that impact our lives. Our relationship to others is important, but so is our relationship to work, money, heath, sex, sleep, food, the divine, etc…

Whether I am coaching one or more people, the focus will be the whole relationship rather than single events in the relationship. All members, even those not present during the coaching, are included in the system. Working with the whole picture can be a very effective approach that encompasses it all.
